What is Facebook?
Facebook is a social networking service and website that was launced in February, 2004. Facebook is currently owned by Mark Zuckerberg, Eduardo Averin, Dustin Moskovitz, Chris Hughes. As of March 2012, Facebook has over 900 million active users. more than half of them using mobile devices. Users must register before using the site, after which they may create a personal profile, add other users as friends, and exchange messages, including automatic notifications when they update their profile. Additionally, users may join common-interest user groups, organized by workplace, school or college, or other characteristics, and categorize their friends into lists such as "People From Work" or "Close Friends". Sounds exciting doesn't it? Well let's get started!
Setting Up a Facebook Account
1. To start, you want to visit www.facebook.com
2. Next, you will find the button "Sign Up" in the middle of the page. By clicking the button, it will bring you to a page with columns of "First Name, Last Name, Your email, and your password." It'll also ask for your Gender/Sex, and your Birthday. To sign up please fill those in with vaild information.
3. You are able to "Find Friends" but you're able to skip it aswell. Next, again you are able to fill in details about yourself, but its not required. This only allows friend on facebook to find you easier.
4. Once you filled in all the fields that you wanted, it'll take you to your profile page. It will ask you once again to either "Find Friends, Upload a Profile
Picture, or find people you know."
5. You may choose any at your choice but if you wanted to "Upload a Profile Picture" and have problems, steps to "Uploading a Profile Picture" will be displayed below.
6. Now if you noticed, but "Online-chat" is disabled, things that include you into the Internet is disabled. Why you ask? Well, to enabled everything you need to verify your "Facebook" account by reading the email they have sent you. Once you have read the email, there will be a link allowing the verification of your "Facebook" account. Once verified, you have successfully made a fully working "Facebook" account.

Pros Having a "Facebook" account allows the user to post " Updates, Statuses, Pictures, etc..." It also allows the user to talk to friends in what called "Online Chat." There's always pros and cons to these things. Example of Pros, you're able to post "Updates, Statues, Pictures, allowing to comment on others pictures, etc..." But...

Cons But... we suggest not to put all of your personal information in photos, profile updates, etc... People around the world have been in danger just by posting way to much personal information. Users have been founded missing, killed, or bullied just by this. But don't be too worried, just take our advice and don't put all of your personal information, fake some, lie about some. Just for your own safety, don't post personal information about yourself!
